Menno Balm (1982) is a classical painter, draughtsman and printmaker. After his study at the Academie voor Beeldende Vorming (Amsterdam), Vrije Universiteit (MA Art History, Amsterdam) and the Klassieke Academie voor Schilderkunst (Groningen), Menno started to work as an artist, teacher and art historian.
In his work, Menno shows special attention for classical techniques and subjects. Besides painting in oil colour, he makes drawings, often at location. Sometimes, these drawing result in etchings or dry points.
